Isopod on watchman goby. Pls Help!

Hi everyone, I was just looking at one of my eunicid worms in the tank and I saw my watchman goby having some sort of bug on the fin area, I immediately knew it was a parasitic isopod. How am I going to treat it??? I have a cleaner shrimp, will that clean the goby in anyway? I really want to resort to catching the goby last but he has a hiding spot which is hard to get to without removing the rocks and stirring the sand. Please help. Thanks!!

These isopods are generally not an imminent danger to the fish. Generally they also can't reproduce in a tank as they need intermediate hosts that are unlikely to be found in a tank.
So I would wait if catching the fish is not an easy option.

Generally the best cleaner shrimp for shrimp gobies are the pistol shrimp that they live with. Unlike the regular cleaner shrimp the pistol shrimp is not just out to score a meal, but also interested in keeping the lookout it depends on fit and healthy.
So, if you not already have a pistol shrimp for your goby I would recommend to get one for it. For the larger gobies Tiger pistol shrimps are better than the smaller candy cane shrimp.

Thank you so much for your fast and informative reply! Lucky me, I have my order being shipped to me by tonight and it has a golden CBS and randall pistol shrimp in it. Thank goodness.
