Issues with Controller 7096 + 2 pumps 6105

I purchased a few days ago a 7096 controller with 2 pumps 6105. First : I had a hard time getting the controller recognized under Vista. I got better luck with Windows 7 RC.
Once recognized, the Tunze software was able to properly program the 7096.
My problem is the following one:
I switched the controller to interval mode for which pump #1 pulses while pump#2 is stopped then pump #2 start pulsing while pump #1 is stopped.
When each of the pump is stopped, there is a clacking noise. The pump seems to try to start ands fails (impeller rotates slightly and abruptly stops). I wouldn't expect the stopped pump to try to restart when it is supposed to be stopped. Note that the pump #1 & pump #2 are alternating every 15 minutes.
This clacking noise does not look or sound good and might reduce the longevity of the pump. is that normal or is there a problem withe the controller?
I switched the pumps on the controller and still have the problem on both pumps. Either both pumps are faulty or the controller has an issue. Pump one is attached to plugin #1, pump #2 to plugin #3.
I also noticed that one of the pump is much noisier than the other one. It seems to be a swoosh noise coming from the impeller.

I would appreciate any feedback on my problem.

Thanks
Eric

I dont know about the noise, but the off/on repeatedly is probably the fish scare feature. It helps scare the fish away when the pump is off so they dont enter where the prop is. That way the pump does not become blender when it comes back on.

As Swingrrrr said, the pumps have a feature called Fish Care, every 20 seconds they turn one RPM to scare away any small fish that may enter the pump while it is off. I plan to call the factory this week and will ask about the clicking as I have another complaint about it. I know the click is caused by the pump turning on and the magnet being pulled against the base by the electromagnet, I am not sure if there is a fix, though a second disk may reduce it.

The pumps typically take 2 weeks to wear in and after this time the noise will be greatly reduced. Typically 50% of the noise is gone after 2 weeks and over the next few months the noise is reduced further.

Thanks both of you.
I did not know about the fish care (scare) and noticed after postign that indeed, the frequency was corresponding to about 20s. It is not a clicking noise, (more a strong clacking noise) is nevertheless pretty strong and I am wary about the wear on the pump. Please keep me posted when you hear from Germany.
Thanks
Eric

It won't cause any wear. The cause is pretty simple. When the pump powers up the magnet gets pulled down by the electromagnetic field and hits the bottom. There is a disk that is a wearing part that takes the impact. I will look into a solution to minimize it.
