I purchased a few days ago a 7096 controller with 2 pumps 6105. First : I had a hard time getting the controller recognized under Vista. I got better luck with Windows 7 RC.
Once recognized, the Tunze software was able to properly program the 7096.
My problem is the following one:
I switched the controller to interval mode for which pump #1 pulses while pump#2 is stopped then pump #2 start pulsing while pump #1 is stopped.
When each of the pump is stopped, there is a clacking noise. The pump seems to try to start ands fails (impeller rotates slightly and abruptly stops). I wouldn't expect the stopped pump to try to restart when it is supposed to be stopped. Note that the pump #1 & pump #2 are alternating every 15 minutes.
This clacking noise does not look or sound good and might reduce the longevity of the pump. is that normal or is there a problem withe the controller?
I switched the pumps on the controller and still have the problem on both pumps. Either both pumps are faulty or the controller has an issue. Pump one is attached to plugin #1, pump #2 to plugin #3.
I also noticed that one of the pump is much noisier than the other one. It seems to be a swoosh noise coming from the impeller.
I would appreciate any feedback on my problem.
Thanks
Eric
