I had a few problems that plagued me all summer and the tank really suffered. I lost a few pieces, namely my Becker Tort and my very largish colony of Cali Tort.
I got the itch to work on the tank this weekend. After reglueing and replacing some of the lost pieces, getting rid of a few that were not working for me, and some rearrangment, I feel that I am well on the road to recovery and some are returning to thier proper colors.
Still, some will take some time, (Blue Matrix), but everything is looking better.
I usually have trouble with the contrast in my tank and pics are hard to get right due to my lighting. I think these are some of the best I have been able to get yet and am excited that I am closer to what I want them to be....well most anyway.....getting the right coloration is what I am concerned with.
I thought I might share...........
Before that, I have a coral that I have outgrown. I have a hard time cutting up large coral (frag swap) and this one is special to me because it was my first SPS piece. I would like to sell it ($45) to someone getting into SPS that would like to carry the torch. It is a purple tipped nana? that has a brown to tan body and has the potential to turn green as I saw a frag in Yourreefs do, never has and never will in my tank, though shows green when looking straight down. The piece reminds me of the Larry Jackson Acro and is relatively bullitproof, heavily encrusted, and very symetrical...ie not all hacked from fragging. About 5" tall and 4" dia.
