Looks nice, Good that the pump is nice and low in the body utilizing all the space. Nice to see an ehiem for a pump.
Build looks good, and skimmate looks stinky. :)

Looks like a nice well built skimmer. My only issue with the provided pics relates to the skimmate. While it seems to pull a pretty hefty foam head, all that build up on the inside of the riser, isn't what I look for in a skimmer. I personally want all that crud in the collection cup, not on the inside of the riser, where it continues to break down and leach back into the water column.

tgfrench...probably i can reach that only rising the output, that is adjustable (you can see in the pic n.9...inside the upper part of the output there is an oring that allow the upper part to scroll upon the lower part)...so without partialize the output (like in deltec 851...for example) i can rise the water column...
This is one of the caratheristics of this skimmer i like the most...another caratheristic i'd like you to notice is the insertion of the cup on the skimmer body with another oring...simple and secure....
other comments?

I certainly don't have an issue with the build quality. However that easy connection could be troublesome over time with wear and crud build up. Secondly what is the function of the O ring, there is no pressure connection there to hold the cup tightly in place

it's not troublesome..what do you mean? without oring you can have a loss of water....
the pressure comes from inside...whre you have the foam that rise...
do you agree?

Time will only tell if that fitting works well. It isn't a big concern but others have had issue with that type of fitting over a period of time becoming increasing difficult.

thanks, sunnyX, wath do you think of the skimm?

The skimmer looks great, very similar to my Deltec Ap851. The one thing I would be concerned about is the inlet nozzle inside the skimmer body. From the pictures it looks like it is very close to the base of the skimmer. The base of a skimmer will have things growing on in rather quickly so it may inhibit the skimmer performance or cause back pressure.I would be more comfortable with the nozzle higher up. Its safer, and would make cleaning the skimmer alot easier.

the skimmer remind me the Hydor preformer , is this the eheim or the aqua b pump , the impeller look very nice.
