at exactly 3:29 pm on march 13 2009 my clown of abot three months died of brookynella. I only noticed symptoms ( hard breathing, white patches, difficulty swimming) this morning. I searched the web for treatments (didnt know that it was brook yet) but then it was too late. A guy at my lfs did a diagnostic and told me it was brook. Terrible, terrible day

this is him before (he looked like this yesterday he was eating and was very active too)

and this is him this morning ( not eating erratic swimming)

the lfs guy told me that 5 min freshwater dips every hour would have just about cured him, but i didnt know, one mistake i will definitly remember.

Sorry to hear about that :(

fwiw: FW dips/baths will not cure Brook. Formalin has been well documented effective.

The brook had to come from somewhere. Is the new fish's dorsal fin colapsed also. That is the first sign.In the first pic you can see the fish is sick.It takes time and a lot of expierence to spot brook early.Sorry for your loss.
