its hip to be square....

Not knocking your set-up, but wouldn't two conduits to hang your light fixture from be more stable?

I am not upset about you asking Dave, I value your input. The light fixture weighs about 10lbs or so. I have another piece of conduit here already bent. I was trying to go with just one so I could "turn" it out of the way as needed for entry into the tank. I'm not sure how much weight at thing can support but as of now it's not bent the slightest. It's 1in conduit and I've seen it used on other tanks local but it would be nice to know how much it can support.
Thanks you
Corey

Sorry, Corey, I wasn't thinking about weight so much as just holding the light still over the tank. It's going to swing and sway about a lot more depended from only one point. But if it works for you then no worries.

Here is how it's connected in the back. Those clamps are pretty tight. I need to clean those wires up tho

acid to water not the other way around....and make sure you wear acid proof face mask and gloves...plain old rubber gloves wont cut it for more than a second.

??
For cooking the rock, yeah that's the way I did it and then cycled/cured them for almost 4 months. They read 0 on all tests at point of putting them in the tank

Hey worm, if you see this, what are you feeding your lps. They look great. If not I'll post in your thread too man.
Thanks buddy

Acans i've never kept i'm afraid and i only have one chalice. I've never spot fed, just the Reef Energy that i supplement the tank with. I also don't have the best growth with mine, so not spot feeding could be a cause. Doing some quick reading on liveaquaria specimens it does mention spot feeding mysis etc.

no much help. sorry Corey!

It's ok. The guy I got em from spot fed em I was just curious on others success. Do you also enjoy the reef energy?

Corey

How high are you guys running radiums off the water/sand. Mine is about 32inches from my sand bad. Good or bad?
Corey

Just got some of a CUC ordered in a group buy from reefcleaners. Few new frags, I'll take some pictures and post. But right now most of my excitement is in "newbie's" new tank set up. Stoked for him!

I keep my Radiums about 12-15 above the waterline.

As for my new setup I am just trying to finish the plumbing and finishing the rock structures and then see from there. Now back to your build. Where are the pics?

My 2, 250w Radiums are about 12" off the water. I think a lot depends on the reflector. I use Lumen Bright Minis. I'd just base it off your spread since you have such a large footprint.
