its hip to be square....

Added a really nice nem to the tank today. Gotta get my laptop back to post some pictures. Up next is putting the CA reactor online. No clue on how to do this. Gonna have to research it and do it this week. Tank is coming along well, can't wait to post some pictures other than from my iPhone
Have noticed a few more small aptasia tho in the tank. I'm slowly eradicating them. I HATE them

I just recently hooked up my CR. I placed it on the lowest bubble count as I am shooting for an alkalinity of 7.5-8.0 dKh. Its at 10 dKh as I don't have enough corals in my tank to absorb it. You have to be patient when you run the CR as it will take a while to fine tune it.

How's everyone's bracket looking so far?? I know it's early but some ppl in my group have busted up brackets already.....I live in Columbus Ohio and a few ppl I know had OSU going deep into the tournament.

I have been running one ph probe on my tank with my apex fine and I just put my calcium reactor online and want to run a second probe. I have it plugged into the orp/ph outlet on the apex. How do I go in the head unit and set it up to read as a ph probe. I need to do it via he head unit because my laptop is getting fixed.

Thank you
Corey

Any thoughts on how to get a fish from the overflow box. Mine runs 24 inches high and maybe 30 inches wide or so. A small fish somehow slid through the teeth I guess and now has a new home until I fish it out. I'm trying food in the net trick with no luck yet

I had a clown jump into my overflow once. I removed the drain pipe and it was swept into the sump, unhurt.

I had to do the same thing twice this last week. Just make sure your sump can handle the extra water that's going to be dumped into it.

Yeah I can hold about 30-40 more gallons in my sump. I just don't look forward to that. My sump is a tad big to fit in my stand so it's a pain to get in and out.

Corey

Have a large net in place in the sump before you remove the stand pipe so all you have to do is reach in and pull it out. Having a second pair of hands to pull the pipe for you would be helpful.

Corey, do you live in an apt building or a divided house? I'm just wondering bc I'm moving and want to set up a 200DD in an apt building with poured concrete floors.
