Man I know! The plan is to frame the stand up Sunday night and add the remaining LEDs.
Here's a question for everyone, I know to prevent racking of the stand most skin in w plywood....I'm wanting to have 2-3 sides of the stand completely removable. So there would be plywood on them, maybe via magnets, but they could be pulled off as needed to get under the stand.
Will this have provide any structural support?

Plywood across the back to prevent side to side racking, cut out where needed for plumbing and electrical access. Most people would not worry too much about front to back racking, but to be technically correct you should have at least one side with plywood as well, and you can cut out a door for access. I would add the middle cross piece in the top and two in the bottom of the frame. The ones in the bottom will help support the floor of the stand from bowing under the weight of the sump.

The sump won't be underneath the stand jack. I am putting plywood on the bottom UNDER the stand tho, I will store my ATO there. I will skin the side/back of it and the front and other side will be doors using magnets instead of hinges. So the whole thing pops off.
Wayne I can't see those links but I'm glad you posted here. I want to ask you where you got that liner for your stand bottom to. Shower liner or something. What is it called?

Thanks buddy! I should have my skimmer from geo soon so ill probably come over and check yours out to see how you have it set up.
I'm going to add a few cross section supports on the top of my stand as well. What about a few more vertical supports on the 4ft spans?

You are doing a great job.
As you have been advised above you should add extra supports to the top of the stand. an acrylic tank needs to have full support for the bottom.
It is also good advice to sheet the entire stand with plywood. then cut out for doors.
The opening can be large for better access to the interior. Even if it is only 4'' of plywood all the way around the outside of the opening. It will help prevent the racking immensely.
You shouldnt need any more vertical support between the open spans. That is a beefy upper rim joist.

The magnetized doors/panels will not add anything structural to the stand.

Yes it is rock solid.
A guy in our local club said, " we as hobbyist tend to overdue most everything and DIY stands are no different!" I think back to my 220 and it's stand. That thing was nothing to this monster :lol:
It is possible I don't skin it per say for structural purposes.
However that is to be determined....
