I recently found a post that I believe will help us take better pictures. I contacted Mike C from Manhatten Reef club to see if it's available and what's the price. Maybe we can start a group buy or you can contact him individually. I have yet to hear from him but since his information is now on facebook I would imagine he'll be overwhelmed very soon. Anyway, it'll definitely help the all LED folk, the link for the information and pictures is below. Please post if interested and I'll post the availability and pricing as soon as I recieve it, thanks.

Hello Mike,

I saw a post on Zoanthid Fanatics facebook page about the red film and am very interested in ordering some. Please let me know availability and price. Also I know a few people in my local Tampa Bay Reef Club that would be interested, I can post the information you give me and we can make a group order to a single address. Thanks for doing this, I actually messed around with yellow film but couldn't find the right balance, I guess I should have tried a more red wavelength instead. Anyway, look forward to hearing from you, thanks.

Thanks for sharing Pedro! Not sure if anyone else has the same addiction to Googling everything but after seeing this post I started searching this topic. I found a couple of diy for making your own gels. The best idea was to download the color values to disk and buy a pack of acetate sheets then take the disk to kinkos and have them print out the colors on the acetate (looks like you could make several sets with just a few pieces). The cheaper easier way was to just buy plastic school folders and cut them into small squares. Here is a link for the dIYers out there.

Thanks but at $2.50 for a set is super cheap, the icing on the cake is that I don't have to figure out the correct wavelength for the filters.

Just passing information along, I don't know the guy or have done any form of deals prior to my order earlier today.

Thank you so much for this info. I have been searching for for something like this to take pics with my iphone for a long time. I think I will buy a few sets. Seems like ppl got better results when they doubled up on filters. Thanks again!

No problem spicytuna

I got my gels in today :D, you know what that means Lol, please see below. Pictures were taken using nexus 5 cell phone without after photo processing, I've tried to show pure blue led and with actinic t5 and actinic t5 with daylight, very happy with the results and you can see for yourself.
