Found this little guy today on the rock my 'shrooms came on - fully extended he's all of 4mm!! He only has one ring of tentacles. I thought it might be a zoa or some other coral hitchhiker til I moved the rock and he retracted into his teeny tiny little sock!

He's very very hard to see as his color blends perfectly with the coralline behind him. I'm gonna track him and see how big he gets!! I know he's itty-bitty, but any of you know what he might be?

Majanos are bad anemones... Spread fast... But the title of your thread made me laugh so I had to post in it... :D

But seriously, they are bad they will multiply and sting and kill your other corals. One or 2 are easy to get rid of. When you have 30 or so you can’t ever get rid of them.

ok i still have only one - can i just grab the thing and throw it in the trash? will it sting? its tiny...how do I actually get rid of it before it multiplies?

"Leave a piece of majano behind, and eventually you will have a new majano in your tank!"

Well, maybe decapitating it won't work. I pulled the rock out and checked again. I THINK I got the whole critter out of there - guess we will see...

Well - guess I got the whole thing. He seems happy in his bowl.

Wish I had a sump or something to stick him in - he's still CUTE!!
