IV machines as Dosing pumps

I may be able to get some decommissioned IV pumps that the hospital deems unfit at reasonable prices as dosing pumps. Would anyone be interested?

Like how much are we talking about and what size dosing pump is it?

I would love one for trace element dosing.

I am interested. With healthcare prices going up, I'll just open my own clinic. :D
But seriously, if the price is right I am interested.

Not sure on price just yet. Gonna see of we get enought ppl interested if he'll cut a good price /unit. Left a voicemail for him to call back. If I dont hear from him by wed afternoon I'll call again. Should be more reasonable than other similar pumps branded for aquariums and I believe a lil more accurate. And it's fully adjustable.

I asked my place what they did with the old blueIVAC when they upgraded to the digital ones a year ago. They traded it in ... How inconsiderate!
if you can get your hands on one, they are perfect for dosing. Can set the drip rate/hour
great for when you go on vacation.
I have used IV bags of sterile water, put A and B and dripped it in separate parts of the tank. The problem is the the Buffer clogs up the IV tubing and it messes up the balance real bad when you are gone for a week.

Do these have timers built in,or are they a constant drip that can be slowed down .

I believe they run full time n have a few "drip" rates to select. You can clamp the line when you don't wanna dose going. The lines can clog Thomas Nanodoc said. Just replace the tubing and move on.
