I've always wanted a Mystery Wrasse

And it looks like now may be my opportunity. My 34 gallon Solana has been up over two years, is bare bottom and has your typical rock work. Fish include a small Ocellaris happily hosted by a GBTA that recently split, a 2.5" Coral Beauty, a 2" Four Line Wrasse and a 2" Flame Hawk. Unfortunately the glass top finally caught up to me and the Four Line surfed out through one of the two corner finger holes used to lift the glass lid.

In hindsight it was irresponsible. I have made my peace and ordered, built and installed the requisite clear poly mesh screen cover with no gaps. I've always admired the vivid coloration and personality of the Mystery Wrasse. It's the eyes that get me. If I find a small one, is now the time? Thanks.

I'm okay with one wrasse and I've avoided shrimp believing the Flame Hawk would get them, but I managed to leave out my only crustacean (hope he doesn't get me in my sleep!), a Purple Reef Lobster. Other than vie for food, I've never seen any interaction between the lobster and the hawkfish. The lobster lives in a vertical rock cave. It's molted a few times, has been in the tank probably 8 months and has never been missing a leg or claw. It's pretty feisty. Would a small Mystery Wrasse go after it?

I had one that ended in disaster. I wouldn't put one in anything under 50 gal (preferrably 48"). They do swim quite a bit. I wanted one for a long time and since they are more affordable in recent years, I pulled the trigger. He was a monster= extremely aggressive. I gave him to a fellow hobbyist some time ago.
