I have an Iwaki WMD 40RLT and it is to big for my tank I just set up it pumps from the sump quicker than the overflow fills the sump. So I am hoping to trade somebody for a smaller one???? Or if anyone has any good ideas please chime in. And no a bigger overfow is not possible on this tank.

put a gate valve on it and throttle it back or T it off and divert flow back to the sump.
