Nice tank and DIY skills, that stand is great. In a earlier post you said your tank is made by Oceanview. Do you have any info on this company and or tank.

Thank you,
Gary

thanks everyone

GQuinn, i bought it from someone else who had never usedit so i dont know a whole lot about them but what i have heard is only goodthings and that they make very strong and stout tanks

Heres an update-got the canopy stained

got the durso standpipe made and painted the back of the tank black

now the tank came with a 1" overflow pipe shown below on the left and the durso i made is on the right...the 2nd pic is a close up of the stock overflow pipe

i made an overflow box out of a styrofoam container to test each one and the stock one def. was able to handle more flow but could make some noise at time whereas the durso was quiet but not as efficient, so i guess i will try both when i set up the tank

heres a pic of the overflow box i made...oh and i took off the extension on the durso that sticks back down into the water when testing it out

here is the back of the tank painted...i didnt paint the back of the overflow box because i needed to see what i was doing when test fitting the overflow pipes

Nice work so far! It's a lot like the 120 build that I'm working on... but you seem to be making much faster progress than I am. I'll be tagging along!
