Jamokie quick question?

I was talking to Stack and he mentioned that you have a Coral life super skimmer. How has it been to you is it worth to buy it or should i spend a couple more dollars and get a used ASM G3. Ill be using it on a 125. If you could give me your thoughts I would appreciate it thank you

no offense to whatever skimmer jamokie is using but I personally think that ASM is the way to go. I had a G3 as you know and it worked great on my 240 so a 125 it would be awesome for you, I currently have a G4X by ASM and its pulling about a collection cup every 3-4 days on a fairly wet skim of dark chocolate crap. You really can't go wrong dude. Another option is Euro reef but they are way overpriced compared to other skimmers on the market.

ya but ryan the g3 is about 300 and the superskimmer is about 115 on sale right now. from what dale had told me they aren't a bad skimmer and i wanted to see wat jamokie actually has to say about them i know the asm is great but if i can save a few bucks to put into my lights or stand then why not

true i didn't know there was such a cost difference. You could get the G3 for about 260 at salwaterfishdotcom

ya i know i can get one off ebay too for about 250 or so but if its a decent skimmer why not go with the cheaper

Sorry no reply for so long, Im never on.

I have only good things to say about the super skimmer. It set up quick, adjusts easily, and seems pretty low on the maintenance. It took about a day to settle down after starting it up, and since then has been pulling some nasty stuff out of my water. I always reccommend buying the better quality product, because eventually youll upgrade and you may have wished you got it , but for 130 bucks (or whatever I paid for it) its a Hell of a skimmer.

I've read some bad press on the 65 model. Aparently they are tough to get set and when you think you hav eti they will suddenly just quit or overflow like mad. all reports on the 150 model are shining... Euro's and ASM's are a no brainer if money is no object. Deltec's are even better but you better have BlingCoralKillers' credit card...
