I want to get some sticks, and I thought about going sps after I moved my system. But honestly, my lease on this house is up next Sep, and I don't think I'll renew.

The sticks are gonna have to wait until I'm in a more permanent situation

My FOWLR is very "mover friendly" :lol:

justin, i woulda tried the new UVL actinic but they don't make them in 60" lengths alexs' milli is doing just ok and i've got him down way low. hasn't really colored up and is kinda bleached out. it might be related to what duec22 was saying about corals acclimating from t5s to mh. but i'm keeping my hopes up.

jimdogg187, i don't have a airflow meter. i'm guessing its pulling around 10-12 but c'mon over sometime and lets test it out. dude, i absolutely love that angel in ur avatar. euphipops xanthometaphan (sp)? aka the blueface...is yours grunting? i really miss keeping large angels

plankton, why'd you call me alex? :lol: i know we are both tall, dark and bowlers (well i used to). jk. lighting is SO seasonal for me. i was running iridius 20k's for about 1.5years but am trying out the reeflux 12k's for a change.

Unarce, man my soli is slowly bleaching out but i've had others do this and recover so i'm just keeping my fingers crossed. its down pretty low but was growing well.

Actually, it was large angels that got me interested in this hobby!

Yes, it grunts so loud I can hear it in the other room :eek2:

But sps corals are a in a league of their own! Some of the Acros and Stags are gorgeous! IMO, definetly more rewarding!

This is opposite of what Ive been encountering from MH to my tank I HAVE to put em on the bottom or i'll either bleach or brown em up. But I see some take mine and put em right up to there 250's with no real issues. It was getting quite a bit of light, so much so it would make more sense that it's bleaching because it's too low from what it was at before. May want to try puttin it half way and see what happens, if anything I know its a whore for flow It's getting more flow now in my tank and growing accordingly, so no fears if you burn it up ~ I gots more so we'll get it dialed in!

oh I got it, cuz I'll bleach em if I put em up high? Once you are able to recognize the sheer power of them my friend and respect it for what it is, you become quite happy here in T5 land

Thats not true at all......my new method for coloring up brownies.....put em up high am fry out the brown.....I find a bleached one is easier to color than a brownie.

Remember.......Mechanical Engineer, I selected the perfect lighting for my application at any depth.........oh yeah...oh yeah......whos your daddy......Dots just dropped it like its hot, Irish Engineering in dah house, ya!!!!
