since there is a thread about this meeting, do I just register there or do I have to pay an online fee or what? How does this work. Or do I even have to register for anything at all?

Unfortunately, the club is not set up yet to accept on-line applications. In order to join ORCA you either have to come to a meeting and sign-up there or go to the ORCA website, download an application and mail it in. My suggestion is since you're planning on attending this months meeting I would just hold off and apply there, but the choice is yours. I hope this answers your questions.

See you there,
Joanne

Just wondering what the topic of your meeting is this month. i am from Ft Laud(member of the FMAS) but will be in the area for the weekend...might have to stop in and check it out! Thanks

Hi All, replying to the post up above regarding bringing dry goods to sell at the meeting. At this time, members are asked not to bring dry goods to the meeting to sell during the actual meeting. The ORCA Web Site does have a "FOR SALE" link which many members use.

I am curious to know how many ORCA members and non-members might be interested in setting up a "sidewalk" sale at some point in the future. If there's enough participation and interest, it might be a great way to empty out our equipment packed storage lockers...

I'll try to remember to bring this topic up at Saturday's meeting.

See you there !

Matt

Hi 55semireef,

No, cschweitzer's position expired as of December of 2006. His past work as Co-President in 2006 was greatly appreciated.

New Board members were nominated back in September of 2006. I along with two other individuals were voted in as new board members beginning October 2006 (Official duties beginning Jan 2007). We now have a new President (me), new Vise President and new Secretary. The Public Relations Director will remain the same individual (serving 2nd term). We still have a couple open board positions open, Secretary, Director of Mentoring, Membership Director and Newsletter Director. I encourage anyone interested to apply. It's a great way to get involved with this club and it's members. Come see me or any of the other officers at the next meeting if your interested.

Matt

I would be interested in the sidewalk sale.....as a customer. Being new to the hobby, I dont have much to sell yet

Cool !

At the meeting, if I forget to mention it, please bring it up. If this is something the club wants (which I think they do...) then we'll put it togther.
