I'm very curious to see what the final death tolls are going to be. This is tragic, and my heart goes out to them, so don't take that the wrong way. What I'm saying is, this is a modern, busy place. Buildings built for quakes. The casualties should not be near those of Chile, Indonesia, etc. The real chaos is going to be over the next few days. No power. Tons of injuries. How will they deal with it? I'd like to think if something like that happened here, we'd fair FAR better than most. If anything, I'd be most concerned with the madness after the quake. (and that includes the looting, the losers that do anything to take advantage of a horrible situation)
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Japan, that's for sure.
