I couldn't find a lot of info on Paracentropogon rubripinnis, so I was wondering if anyone has kept them/has tips on them? How they would do in a 30g FOWLR with 5 peaceful fish (between 2 and 4 inches long)? Also, can/will they adjust to normal temps (between 73 and 78 degrees F), and eat frozen mysis shrimp? Would they eat small fish (like meiacanthus, wetmorella, priolepis, or elacatinus)?

Very hardy, cool fish. They do well with tankmates they cant eat. They can eat fish 3/4 their body size, and will get to 4 inches. They dont swim in the water column to often so even if they could eat some of your smaller fish, the ones that spend alot of time in the water column would be safe.

I have had a pair for almost 2 yrs now. I feed them chopped up silversides and krill. I have them in a 20 gallon right now with blackfoot clowns. They will get along with tank mates longer than what they are, allthough I found out the hard way that 2 males cannot be kept together. They like a sand bed but it isn't a must as long as you have plenty of rock for them to hide. Hope this helps.

awesome fish - though shy at first, they will slowly the star of your tank.
I fed mine mysis. desperately hoping to find a pair, soon.

I really enjoy my pair! (as you can see from my avitar) lol I find that if they are fed around the same time they will come looking for food at that time! Better than a clock! lol
