This may be a silly question but I found a site selling jap rose bubble tip anemones and wanted to do a little research to see if they are like other rose bubble tips in size, temp and pH requirements, color seems similar? Are they the same? Thanks

I have no idea what a "Japanese Rose BTA" is. Did they describe on their web site what makes these anemones any different from other BTA's?

I've also never heard of a Japanese Rose Bubble Tip. I tried to look it up online and couldn't find anything. Most likely they just gave it that name to make it sound special so that people would buy them more.

Absolutely add Japanese to the description, add a zero to the price tag. You would be hard pushed to find a Japanese RBTA in Japan. Trust me on that one.

It's all a markup game. I bet it's from any other aquaculture facility. If it's in the same price range as any other RBTA, go with it.

Give us a link to the website selling them. I wanna see a "Japanese" RBTA. :lol2:

i've notice that japenese rbta's are more deep red in color then other rbta's and have a red foot. a friend of mine bought one from aquasd and it was deep red. and i've have 3 rbtas personaly and my japenese one of the most red of them all

Ive also seen that they are usually a deeper red in color, looks pretty cool but not worth the markup price if you ask me.

As for care of these nems, its the same as all other bubble tips

They do look a deeper red i guess but the site offers no additional description. Take a look at site:

Site has no photos that I could detect. However since all the frags offered for sale have a special name, I don't doubt that any anemones offered for sale have unique names as well :) The company owner is President AND CEO :) I wonder how many executives he has to be chief over? :lmao:

Those are pretty good colors, but the only difference from the ones in my tank is that those have red columns, which I totally love. I'm guessing that's just a color morph though, idk.

I take back my earlier snide comments :) I was looking at "Frag Farmer" and not "The Frag Farmer". The RBTA's on The Frag Farmer look good to me for $35... and I live on the West Coast where stuff is normally pretty affordable.
