By posting your tank journal on a public forum you must accept the fact that fools are going to comment on your project.
May be you would have gotten a pat on the back for your stand construction here

Just kinda curious who rated your stand for a ton. I am sure you wont respond, only because you dont have a valid answer.
Any engineer that seen your stand would suggest to you to start over and actually support the load properly.

I also have to know if your mother ever taught you any manners or social skills AT ALL.

I think we can continue this nuisance posting on your "tank journal" Peppie! hahahha what a tank you have! Its all brown softies!!
I spent at least 4 minutes looking at your tank journal, and quite frankly, I want those 4 minutes back! LOL.
Anyway, any further discussion you want to have with me can be done on your "tank journal". No more posts you make here will be responded to.

I just want to be sure that your peeps here see your true colors shine.

Was doing some tank maintenance today, and had the pumps off... so I took the oppurtunity to get some top down shots. They arent the best, but I hope you all enjoy!
Its funny, just today the greenish dark scolly below the red/green one, for reasons unknown, shot out digestive filaments and started to digest the edge of my good red/green scolly! :( :( ahhh it should heal pretty quick hopefully.

Jason/Peppie:

Take your spat to PM or offsite, that goes for the both of you. Both of you have given your opinions, its obvious Jason is set on what he's going to do so lets all just move along to other topics of conversation.

Hi Jason. I came across this thread via another that was closed by a MOD after only a few comments, at which I had to laugh.

I understand the point that was trying to be made, and thought I'd chime in. Basically, if you look at the design of your stand, even with the joists under the base of the stand, your tank is only being held up by the fasteners used to build the stand, and not the structural elements used to build it. If you have not skinned the outside, this can easily be fixed with 8 pieces of 2x4 and about 15 minutes of work. Basically you will complete the header you began to fabricate, thus transfering the load to the load bearing supports, the legs. Please do not take my comments ans condecending. I'd just hate to see such a beautiful tank fail because someone bumped it too hard during maintenance and have the stand twist. I believe RocketEngineer has a great thread on calculating and building a stand. It will explain better what I am saying.

Again, I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire, just trying to help.

Good luck and Happy Reefing.

You kids should consider yourselves lucky that Dino got here before me. I strongly recommend that you follow the excellent advice he gave you.

Well this got interesting. Nice top down shots.

Jason, I saw you tried to send me a pm but my box was full, its been cleared now :)

I just wanted to menion that you have a great selection of corals there. The colors are fantastic. It's going to be wicked when everything grows out. It must be a pain to spot feed a butt load of corals like that.LOL

Hey Jason, I don't know if you ever saw my previous post, but how long have you had your tank up and how long have your corals been under these lights?

How would you rate the growth of the SPS on those lights?

SPS growth is the same as under MH. (My previous SPS tank 4 years ago had MH and T5)
:)

Thanks mate. yes just a waiting game now. I do not spot feed corals. In my opinion, the benefits of better water quality far out weigh the benefits of spot feeding SPS and polluting water slightly.

I am curious, this tank saw its first bit of water six weeks ago and I understand you started adding Sps three days into the cycle, but how much growth can you of had in that time to make the above comment?

NiCd, Firstly, You want to try and harass me on this forum aswell you will get kicked off here aswell.
Get a life you loser, and dont bother replying. I have reported your post, I have told you on many occassions not to post on my threads.
You are a serial pest.
With any luck you will soon recieve a holiday from both forums.
DO NOT POST ON ANY OF MY THREADS

Secondly, you want to make up BS and post on my threads go ahead, You know that I have forgotten more about reefing, and namely keeping and proporgating SPS than you will ever know.
So how about you go back to you Nano, and leave the SPS keeping to us real reefers you tool.
