Jason's 45 Clown tank

I finally sat down and took some pics of my tank so I could start a thread. This tank started as a fowlr for a little over a year, than it froze during a power outage, I rebooted it, and recently decided to turn it into a clown only tank. Mama clown doesn't like anybody

Specs: 45 gallon with a 10 gallon sump 50ish lbs of rock
4x 39 w T5
2 K2, 1 Penguin (MJ 1200 equivilant)
TLF reactor with carbon and GFO
Cheapo skimmer
DSB

Here's my simple sump. I'm too scatterbrained to get more complicated than this:

Scrolling Monti:

Pink Birdsnest: (this poor guy has had a rough life)

Kind of a cool shot of my blasto, a sroom and devil's hand:

My Plate (nothing crazy but I like it):

Mean Mama Clown:

Dad (real brave when Mama's around) It's not a good pic of him but it shows how he is:

Mama:

And The FTS:

Hope you like it

If you were wondering:

In my Frogspawn pic you'll se a few pieces of birdsnest sitting in the rock behind it. I dropped the nest when I was putting it in the tank and just set the pieces that broke in the rock. So far they are growing a bit and still have decent polyp extension so I'm just gonna leave them there and see what happens.

Just a few leftovers. All of these pics are taken with a crappy point and shoot and I have no idea what I'm doing:

You can see where I went a little nutty with epoxy after I knocked it over

Question: Would I need a one way or a two way temp controller? I want one that will turn off my heater and turn the fan on.

Suggestions?

Same here. It's not really a problem anymore now that the heat is dying down but I'd like to know it could controll itself while I'm at work

Do you need a matching clown? It looks just like mine.

Nice tank. I go the manual route also. My tank is in a small room so in the spring I start dailing the "on" time of my lights back 1/2 hour every week or so then the halides aren't kicking on during the hot part of the day. During the summer my lights don't go off until the middle of the night.

Thanks. It's got a ways to go but I think I'm going in the right direction. I really wanted the clowns and anemone to be the centerpiece of the tank but it likes where it is, so I'm not gonna move it. I did try to slope everything downward towards it, but rockwork is not my speciality

what kind of anemone is that? How were you able to post your pictures? I've done it before and somehow don't remember how I did it.

It's a sebae (crispa) that I was lucky enough to find in decent condition. It had just started to bleach when I saw it.

I just use imageshack to post pics. I load the disk onto my computer, save the pics I want, then go to imageshack and load them in. You have to make sure that you use the resize option otherwise they'll be huge. After that, copy/paste the link that is for message boards in your post.
