Jaw Fish Burrow Question.

So I have a pearly jaw fish and I'm wondering if when he is happy with his burrow, he will stop trying to make new ones? Or will he always being making sandstorms in my aquarium?

I kept a mated pair for a few years and they made one burrow and remained there the entire time.

I think it depends but I would expect continued changes and try not too feel uptight about it. Such is life in the reef tank.

If I had a 75 gallon I wouldn't get so uptight as you call it :) Luckily I am upgrading soon, so the sand storms won't affect my corals so much.
Thanks for the info guy's.

I had a blue-spot and he was constantly making new homes for himself every couple of days. You could always tell which one he was currently living in, it was the one with the shell covering the entrance at night. I miss that little guy!! :(

It's not so much as a worry, just wondered.

I also think everyone has their own reason for purchasing a particular fish, beauty, behavior, usefulness etc etc.

Mine was not the burrowing, but the translucent pearly color that this stunning fish has :)

Not at the moment I don't! My aquarium is overflowing with corals with no space to spare to move corals out his way, so the sandstorms at the moment I could do without.
New aquarium turning up soon though, so all will be great :)
