Jawsee's Reef

You could as well take the one in the tank and place it in the sump or elsewhere, introduce the one in the Q tank and give it a day or two to establish itself a bit and then reintroduce the first one.
Reson for this being that the first time both fish were introduced together one dominated the other and hit on it. most probably this will happen again unless the weak one has some time to establish a couple of hiding places. wouldn't give it too much of an advantage as it might hit on the new commer as well. Never tried it with Moorish Idols but it worked out fine on my Yellow tand that I had for a year when I introduced a second one it kept chasing it till it was about to kill it so caught the old one and kept it in the sump for 3 days and when i reintroduced it the new one hit on it a few times till it fought back and they disregarded each other ever since.

Jawsee,
Breathtaking tank you got there. love the colors and how healthy every coral is. Had the chance of having David Saxby be in the country and visit my setup and he mentioned yours quite a few times when discussing many things...
Couple of questions,
On a tank this big and full of SPS do you struggle with low PH running a Ca reactor at full capacity. Do you think a Kalkwasser reactor would be needed to offset the PH shift or could it be possible that the Ca reactor would stop for some time when PH drops too low?
Do you prefer to have a 2 part doser to correct for Ca and Alk imbalances or shifts? Or maybe even use both 2 part dosing and a Ca reactor to handle the daily consumption without PH drops?
Any links to that Ca reactor provider?
How about your skimmer?I understand you're using a Deltec? Can you please share how it's working for you and maybe compare it to what you previously had?
Thanks for the info.

It seems Luc, you have huge success in keeping angel fish in reef tank. I wanted to ask what other angels you have kept in the past? Were they also ok in the reef aquarium? Have you ever considered adding C. duboulayi?

Thanks,

AD

Hey Luc, I can now see the deltec in work, it's big, really big... Did you here for theo? I have a guy here who want's to call the security because he says I don't have cites to sale frags... There's so much jealous persons... I'm personnaly fed up with that mentality some people can have... Hope you're doing well, nice fragging session once again :)... Lot of cardus available :)

Hi thanks,my PH has been low for at least the past 7 years, mostly around 7,8.

Day and night it is the same value, the tanks in the cellar are ulliminated at night.

The deltec skimmer is great and i don't won't too miss that automatic cleaning head,it's soo easy now:)

The ATB was a good skimmer but in the end it was became too small,i am a big feeder for my fish:)around 0,5 kilo mysis and 0.5 kilo brine shrimp every week plus a lot off other frozen food and several times a day dry foods:spin2:
Therefore my angels are behaving themself i think:)

The deltec removes around the dubble off skimmer stuff out of the system than the atb, corals are now becoming some more colorfull so i must keep an eye on them.

The deltec also runs on the half off power so i save 1100 kwh each year comparing whit the atb.

Corals still growing fast:)so it doesn't bother me.

I am now testing a kalwasser reactor too see if it brings me anything on the PH value and too see if i can notice difference in coral grow.

The reactor here can keep my values good so i have little work on that.I had rebuilding him once a little bigger and now it is ok.

Hi Ad,the angels i kept in the past are swimming now into the tank, pygo, septentrionalis, conspicilatus, goldflake, personifer.

In the past i had some dwarfangels but i don't like them,i trust these ones more than the dwarf angels.

I like duboulayi also but i have only room for one more species i think .So for the moment i am waiting what comes too the market:p

Hi Steeve, the deltec is really ok,i am happy whit it:)

I heard for Theo,i had a chat whit him over the phone.

Don,t let those people take your pleasure away.

I have fragged the biggest carduuz completely together whit some other big corals.

Great Luc... I know for those stupid guys, but always hard to deal with it... You say the deltec is much more efficient than the atb in term of electrical consummation for the same result or better?

Hi again,

i have some more questions regarding your angels...

I see you dont keep many Tangs... Is it because they fight with your angels or simply due to high bio load of your system?

Also i see most of your Angels are from Chaetodontoplus family? Any reason why? Or simply you like them most?

Thanks,

AD

Hi AD,there are 4 tangs into the tank,2 yellow tangs,1 pyroferus and 1 rostratum.
That's fine for me,mayby i ad a multicolor tang when i find a nice one but Anja don't like them:D

Whit the new skimmer i have more room for bio load for the system but i won't to have room because i am waiting for that one special angel:D.

The chaetodontoplus is a family off smaller angels and mostly they are friendly too eachother and i like them.

Thanks:wave:
Outstanding! This is hand down my favorite tank on RC.
Kevin thanks:wave:
Excellent!
Thanks:wave:
The best, magnifique.

Furthermore not much too say,too many work for the moment so just enough time to keep the tank going.
Tomorrow the power goes out for some time too transfer the 220 volt into 380 volt in the main circuitboard.
In a couple of weeks they come install some solarpanels on the roof too make some cheap elektricity:lolspin:
