You could as well take the one in the tank and place it in the sump or elsewhere, introduce the one in the Q tank and give it a day or two to establish itself a bit and then reintroduce the first one.
Reson for this being that the first time both fish were introduced together one dominated the other and hit on it. most probably this will happen again unless the weak one has some time to establish a couple of hiding places. wouldn't give it too much of an advantage as it might hit on the new commer as well. Never tried it with Moorish Idols but it worked out fine on my Yellow tand that I had for a year when I introduced a second one it kept chasing it till it was about to kill it so caught the old one and kept it in the sump for 3 days and when i reintroduced it the new one hit on it a few times till it fought back and they disregarded each other ever since.
Jawsee,
Breathtaking tank you got there. love the colors and how healthy every coral is. Had the chance of having David Saxby be in the country and visit my setup and he mentioned yours quite a few times when discussing many things...
Couple of questions,
On a tank this big and full of SPS do you struggle with low PH running a Ca reactor at full capacity. Do you think a Kalkwasser reactor would be needed to offset the PH shift or could it be possible that the Ca reactor would stop for some time when PH drops too low?
Do you prefer to have a 2 part doser to correct for Ca and Alk imbalances or shifts? Or maybe even use both 2 part dosing and a Ca reactor to handle the daily consumption without PH drops?
Any links to that Ca reactor provider?
How about your skimmer?I understand you're using a Deltec? Can you please share how it's working for you and maybe compare it to what you previously had?
Thanks for the info.
