Here is another brief video of the tank this afternoon. Sorry for being so shaky and I'm still playing with my camera settings. It can be watched in 720p HD if you want.

mr9iron, your tank is so clean! I think your rock work i pretty nice looking too. Good job! Love the mp10... what do you keep yours set to?

For those of you running the 9002, do you have to place anything under it to keep it at the recommended level, or does it fit in there to where that is not neccessary.

Just ordered a Deltec MCE 300 for my 'cube!

Just ordered a Deltec MCE 300 for my 'cube!

Marine Depot is supposed to be price matching the Summer Discount price, $268.20, shown on Deltec's website: http://www.theaquariumsolution.us/deltec-mce300-skimmer

I have high hopes for this skimmer as it will be my fourth try at a decent skimmer for my tank: first, stock skimmer w/ stock pump - second, Sapphire Aquatics skimmer in the middle chamber and third, stock skimmer w/ stronger luft pump. The Sapphire was very disappointing considering their reputation at the time (if I recall, they are now out of business (?)) and really didn't produce anything. And, of course, the air driven stock skimmers just aren't that efficient. I do 2 or 3 WCs a month, usually 2 or 3 gallons at a time and feed sparingly at the moment. I'd like to pick up my feeding and start using some nori (which produces quite a bit of phosphate, as all foods do) for my Pygmy angel, so I want a quality skimmer. Any who, I'll take some pics once I've got it up and running. I understand the tubing from the skimmer will need to be shortened a bit, but other than that, no mods should be needed. I hope.

Hello, I want to drill a hole like this so I can run the overflow water to my sump. Can you please tell me how this was done? Thanks.

Nice work! You buy from marinedepot.com then, or theaquariumsolution? Also, did you just post over at nano-reef.com too, or copy and paste the post?

for those running the tunze, are you able to run both return pumps from the rear sump? my friend is having trouble getting flow to the back of the tank fast enough, so he is having to run one!!!!! not cool..

in the pictures posted by nanonubey, the tank is on a board supported by some pedestals. is there anyway to get that board replaced from jbj? i just got my tank yesterday and this board is falling apart.

thanks, i'll post some pics of my future set up soon :)

Here are a few tank shots. They aren't the greatest as they were taken with my Samsung Vibrant.

sweet. can anyone reply to the question about the tunze n the back? I cant turn on both return pumps with it back there because there isnt enough flow getting into the rear sump!

mullin, from what i was told with the 28 i just bought, i need to run the two pumps on a wave timer and not together. but, that was due to too much flow not enough. sorry if not useful

SilvrSrfRdr,

Yep, ordering from MD and also posted on NR, figured I'd share an opportunity to save a few bucks with my fellow NR's.

When you go to the MCE 300 page, click the "Price Match Guarantee" button. A form will come up asking for the other price, shipping price and web link. The price and weblink are in my above post...shipping is free since the item is over $175. It's interesting because Aquarium Solutions - aka - D&D across the pond, are the distributors - maybe manufacturer?- for Deltec and MD is the only authorized North American web retailer. So, they're not really competing with themselves, only honoring a manufacturer sales event (I guess).

Think I'm missing something, or maybe they aren't offering the price match anymore?! Where is the logo supposed to be on the screen?
