here are some pics of my JBJ 30RL. Current equip follows AquaC Remora S skimmer, LED 120 W fixture, and JBJ stand with custom 12 inch riser.

What is the thing your Remora is returning water into? The one thing I always hated about mine was the mess it made due to the water splashing back into the tank

I bought a paint sea sponge and put it below the skimmer return. It makes the system run quite and also great to hold good bacteria.

for the supply water line i used the 1000lph pump that came with JBJ drilled about 8 holes in the bottom side next to pump. the reason is so not to get all that pressure to refugium, now i have great flow in return chamber and flow going to HOB refugium. The Finnex HOB refugium comes with an air pump that siphons the water up. My method is working great with no problems.

I really like the HOB fuge. Great way to get pods easily and alive into your DT.

Thanks guys, yes I am going to Aquarium Arts and going to buy pods into the refugium and DT. You guys recommend putting some live rock rumble inside ?

I did and now I have pink and purple sponge stuff growing, pretty awesome if you ask me

I also bought cocopods and amphipods from reefs2go and I couldn't have been happier.

Oh ok sounds like some good algae growth. Yeah I am getting the same setup as you for sure.

Definitely! I have to trim my cheato constantly! it worked out so good for me too. I also have dragons breath macro

i have decided to turn my JBJ 30RL to include a 10 gallon sump. Here is my custom made sump that will include a refugium and a return chamber to hold pump and a protein skimmer.
