For those who dont what this is, its called a JBJ Auto Top Off used for replacing evaporated water into your system through your sump. Now i have a question can i use this system to replace the evaporated water with kalk water? My understanding so far is that you can but im jsut double checking.

This ato doesn't replace the water. What replaces the water is whatever pump you run with it. You can use a toms aqualifter pump. I used one with kalk water. Worked fine.

i guess what im asking is...when my water evaporates and the auto top off kicks in ill have my pump which will be in my resivoir of kalk water to repalce the evaporated water...can i do it that way by replacing evaporated water with the kalk water?

What kind of pump?

Also, did you get a calcium test?

This is the set up I use with a mj400. The Tom's was so slow that the jbj went into standby and would hang up. I'm using an old 10 gal tank w/ kalk to top off. Last about a week on my 75.

please read up on kalk - chances are fully saturated kalk used to top off your tank will nuke it.
