Does anyone here have or have had one of these return pumps? if so any complaints? do you need a controller or anything to go along with it?

it comes with controller but there is a newer model available ..

Search for jebao DCP. its a upgraded pump

Fishstreet.com sells them

What kind of pumps do you run currently? The 15000 seems like a lot to me if the specs on your current tank in your signature are correct. Even if you did 10 times on the return it would be about 1800gph. That 15000 is over 34000gph but would be less depending on the head pressure of the plumbing.

You could probably do a DCP 8000 or even 10000. A little more about your setup would help also and what you are wanting to do. I will agree though you'll want a DCP series as the DCT is the 2nd generation of the Jebao return pumps.

I run a DCT4000 but I bought mine before the DCP came out and it's been running a year flawless but I clean mine every month.

I run two 950 gph pumps right now I forgot brand but I am unhappy with the amount of flow. There is a about 7 feet of head pressure on one overflow and about 4 feet on the other overflow. I was wanting something 2400+ in gph and was going to do a single pump split to both returns

I think you got the numbers wrong on liter to gallon conversion

I use a DCT15000 on my 125g system. But I have a 50g display refugium and a chiller located in my backyard. Even with all that I run it a speed 4 most of the time. Mine starts to hum a little when I push it up to 7 or 8. Which I did on my old 180g tank. Other than that, it's worked perfectly for me.

I have the DCT running my 180 tank with the sump in the basement. The pump runs the tank, two reactors and UV with no problem. I have it turned up to 8.
