Jebao Differences

Can anyone explain the history and differences between the Jebao RW-8 and PP8.

I heard the PP's are newer but online RW's are more explensive. I also heard Jebao's copied someone or something. Im thinking of purchasing 2 for my 75 gallon reef and just wanted to be informed.

Any history or personal experiences would be apprecieted.

P.S. I heard the only difference was the newer PP's have better magnets (but why less eexpensive then)

The new SW has a feature that allows it to connect to the Apex system

PP is new magnet.. Thats it AFAIK..
SW = 0-10V analog input on the controller..

As to the pricing difference.. Its just life.. People trying to make that last extra buck..

I have both PP and RW. Haven't inspected them closely enough, but from what I see the only difference is the rubber gasket/magnet cover. I don't the the PP's magnet is any different. In fact the outside magnet for my PP8 has RW8 printed on it.

Awesome thanks for the info. For those that have them, you recommend them?

Or is it not really worth it. My friend loves his but I have a koralia smart wave maker and two cheap wavemakers (as the low end Koralias click when switching.)

I think I need more flow - so jebao was the route I was leaning.

I have 2 rw8 on my 120 gal and it's perfect. It's a 4' tank like the 75
