Jebao Dosing pump thread.

I have the 4 head doser for a few months now overall works well. Only issue I had was with the lines draining bank to storage tank. Issue was solved with cheap airline checks valves in input side of the pumps.

I've never had a doser, but am thinking about this Jeboa.

Is this doser able to drive fluid to a 6 foot height?

Any reviews? Just got mine yesterday!

Bought mine on Amazon on August 15th and it stopped working last week.

Display shows either blocks or "((((((((((((((((((((((((" and doesnt work.

Still haven't seen an answer as to what type of tubing is necessary for the internal (surgical) tubing. Can anyone answer this? And where can we get some?

The model shown on page 4 seems to have airline tubing on the inside. Correct?

Did anyone get to the bottom of bubbles on the discharge line? I've been scratching my head over this for a while. I think they must be getting in at the joins with the head tubing. I wonder how jebao fixed the issue in their V2 unit.

I put check valves in on the suction side of the pumps have had any issues with bubbles in the lines since than. After 3 months with them in calibration still spot on.

I just tried that and it made the problem worse, I think because it took more force to pull the liquid up the line, so it was able to suck in more air. But on the plus side it made the air leak super easy to spot, it was on the suck side of the pump, where the airline attaches to the nipple.

What I've done now is remove the nipple completely and instead slipped the pump hose inside the 6mm airline. It makes a really nice seal with a large surface area. So I think this will work better than the nipple and it seems to be working at the moment.

I think you had the check valve backwards. It should not be hard to pull..i did the same thing when i added the check valves..turned them around and everythingsnbeen running great

Had it running about 3 months. And my power has went out at least 6 times now.NO issue s what so ever.I don't even check any more.Just for fun,i checked the does amount. It was right on.

Almost been running a yr now.Not one issue. Checked again the ml. Right on.I know of others in are club that have no issues. I set it up one time, and thats it, have not touched anything.

I just got mine fired up a couple days ago and so far so good. It was easy to program-for me that's a mouthful because electronics is not a strength of mine.

Just curious what you guys are dosing other than calcium, alkalinity, magnesium and kalkwasser. The option of adding four more pumps is nice, but not sure what I'd dose.

Well, I am only using 3 heads at the moment and one failed already. The motor can't turn it. I'm running kalk through it. I installed the spare head and it seems to be working, but a failure already does not feel good.

From now on, I plan to manually check each head at least on a weekly basis-it was dumb luck that I happened to be there when the unit started making bad noises.

Still wondering what you guys are dosing besides kalk, Ca., Mg. and alk.

I'm still trying to figure out what the interval setting means... If I want it to come on once a day, do I select 1 or 0?

Interval is amount of days u want to go in between doses 0 for everyday 30 is once every 30 days

To set a pump to dose once per day everyday
P# time per day:
For: 1 (1-24)
Interval day:
For: 0 (0-30)
Than on dosing volume set the amount you want to dose

Here is my experience with this doser. In a nutshell, you might want to inspect the pump head assembly because it appears that mine were installed in reverse.

Here are the events that led me to this conclusion;

I acquired my unit about a month ago. During calibration, pump head number two began to slip (motor was still going but the three rollers were not rotating). I could hear the sound change as it slipped on and off. I could also confirm this visually. Even if I managed to complete calibration with no slipping events, when I set the doser to dose, the heads would slip around five or six times out of ten tries. This resulted in under dosing. I returned it and got another unit. During calibration of this second unit, three out of the four heads slipped on multiple attempts. Needles to say, I had lost confidence in the dosing heads and thought I had wasted my money. I went on-line and did some searching and while doing that, I found someone disassembling one of these dosing heads. It was not the exact one installed in the Jebao doser but the design was the same. I took apart the dosing heads in my unit and I noticed that the way the roller heads were inserted in the pump housing was reversed when compared to the one I saw on-line. I reversed mine to look like the one on-line, I calibrated and tested and tested and tested... It's been over two weeks and I have not seen one failure in any of the four heads. I have monitored the dosages and they are all spot on. At this point my confidence has been restored.

I did a search on-line to look for an illustration to attach to this response to provide a visual and I found this RC link which supports my finding as well. This is a Marine Magic doser but the design for the dosing head is the same.
(To be clear assembly A in the link below is the way I have installed the rollers in my pump heads)

I don't know who I can contact to confirm that this is the proper installation but it seems that assembling them this way allows the dosing tubing to tighten/wrap down on the roller heads better against the motor axis and prevent slipping and also possibly create a better seal against the tubing thus preventing the fluid to back siphon.

I don't know if Jebao assembles all the doser heads in this manner or if this was just a case of one assembler that was miss instructed or not paying attention. Or maybe Jebao received them this way from their source"¦

I hope this helps someone.

I would also like if possible, for those of you that open your pump heads to compare which way they are assembled and let us know your findings. Specially if you have other brands but with similarly designed pump heads.

So i just got this dose and was wondering if the flip in the rollers made any difference. I received mine with the round disc down in a grove, not up. It works both ways but wondering which is the correct way. Having trouble getting an accurate 1ml dose.

THanks in advance.
