Jebao Dosing pump thread.

can someone give me the actual dimension of the dosing pump?

thinking of getting one, but trying to plan out how to add to my setup... thanks in advance!
 
Any one know what kind of tubing the unit uses for the rollers? Don't want some cheap tubing that going crank after couple months of use have water spill everywhere.. Is it norprene tubing?

Uhhhh...we are talking about a 100 dollar dosing pump here. I would assume it's all cheap
 
Ok so i got one of these dosers off ebay and i'm not happy with it so far at all. The most odd issue is that it will not hold time losses about 2 mins ever few hours, and I think its dropping hours but I will confirm after I run it for a day. Also the heads loose prime so i'm assuming there is not a perfect seal with the tubing and wheel.

Anybody else have similar issues?

If it's loosing a few minutes each hour then I would send it back. That's a big problem.

As far as loosing prime; that seems to be fixed with my suggestion on post #98 on page number 4 of this thread (unless yours was installed properly from factory.)
But again, if it doesn't keep time, I would not bother with re-installing the pump heads. Have them send you one that keeps time accurately.

+1 but i didn't purschase it from a vendor purchased it from an ebay seller. Timing is weird, going to see how much i lose in a day and will report back. Also i reversed the head thingy, hope that helps.
 
Was wondering the same thing, is this worth the money? If I purchase one do I have to assume that I will need to reverse the pump heads to alleviate dripping or loss of suction?
 
Jebao Dosing pump thread.

Just hooked mine up day before yesterday. Unless I'm missing something, it's working perfectly for me. I had been manually dosing up to this point, using a 10ml syringe. After calibrating the unit, I placed 2 tiny med cups under dispenser tubing for each. Then drew dispensed amount into my syringe. 4x it was spot on for 10ml each.
I will be doing this for the next couple weeks. But after 48hrs running, I'm liking it!!

After a few weeks with the rollers switched and going with a narrower airline tubing that creates a better seal, I am having much better results.

I am still getting the occasional bubble on the discharge side, and once a week or so, I will raise the discharge tube for pumps 1 and 4 and reprime them.

I am less concerned with the absolute value in ml's that are being dosed, and more concerned with my levels in-tank. I test twice a week to make sure Cal, Alk, Mag and P04 are unchanged. So far, they have been spot on.
 
I have two. They are used to dose the 2-part and supplements to my 120G and 50G tanks and to perform AWC to the 50G. There have been zero problems with them.
 
Same here, no issues with mine at all. I didn't have to reverse rollers. Working fine and dandy. I actually have thought about a 2nd unit for the price to be honest..
 
No reversed rollers here either. If there's air in the lines, it hasn't made any difference in the amount being dispensed. Again this morning measured out exactly 10ml :)

Did you buy online or LFS? Can you post a link so we know what you're talking about with the narrower airline tubing? I wasn't aware that they had multiple sizes before, but even looking on DrsFosterSmith it looks like they have 4/16"/1/4" ID and 3/16" ID tubing.

I'm combing through the thread and other threads, and just want to know what I'm in for before committing on eBay.
