Jebao wp10 for 40 breeder?

The 850gph koralia i have is too strong for my tank my corals are getting a constant push of water rather than a natural back and forth wave action.

Instead of paying for the expensive vortechs i want to get a jbao.

I feel the jebao wp10 will suffice. What do you all think? I dont plan on getting any sps. Mostly lps with and maybe a montipora cap. I have two clowns, a clown goby, and a barnacle blenny.

Will a wp10 be enough?

How does one position a wavemaker in the tank with respect to a return pump outlet and other wavemakers?

Personally I have a 25 in my 75 and its perfect so a 10 should be dead on for a 40 gallon. In reference to your second question most place the ph on the left or right side of the tank, you just have to find the spot where it seems to make everyone Happy. Hth

I have 2 WP 10's in a 30g thats 24x24x14. It's primarily SPS but I have a ton of palys and a huge candy cane colony. I'm pretty surprised that your hydor 850gph was too much for you. IMO one WP10 in a 40g would not be enough flow.

I have 2 wp-10s in my 40b with twin controller and the flow is great in the tank no dead spots at all.

I have a 55 gallon and I have 1 Koralia 850 GPH power head and 1 Jebao wp 25 and I have the Jebao set on 75% speed and so far it seems great. I would get the 25 and you can always keep it set at a lower power...

Depends on how much flow u want one wp10 would b minimum and have to run at full power. If it was my tank I would prob get 2 wp10 set on either side of tank

The reason i dont want the wp25 is because at its lowest setting it will output 800gph which is the same rating as the koralia i have

You can have it ramp for a slight wave action.. So 800gph starting and ramping up from there

I'd get 2 wp10s. I bought one for my 40b and it's wimpy. 2 would be perfect.

1 wp-25 is what I run on my 40b. It moves a lot of water and you will have to dial it in or get a lower wattage adapter. I run mine W1-S1- with dial turned 75 percent to right. I direct my return flow into wp-25 to create a buffer. Better to have more and not need it then less and not have it.

I have one WP25 on my 40B and its too powerful all I can run it on is W1 S3 anything higher is too much. I would like to run it on Else mode but I can't it will blow my Anemones & LPS everywhere.
