Jebao WP25 Information

I would get the two WP60's with the new twin controller from FS. Right now it looks like they are not available until 2/28/2014 from their site listing.

I currently have two 25s and a dual controller rocking a rectangular 70. I fully intend to use this for a 60 cube I'm building. I don't think this will be an excessive amount of flow for the 60. The dual control works great. I have kept it on the C setting which cycles back and forth between the pumps.

I have 2 25's on an sps 40 breeder and feel it's perfect. I started with only one and it wasn't quite enough to give me the flow I was looking for.

one of each

I have one wp40 and one wp25 in my 60 cube I like the 40 because the flow pattern is much wider I have them on opposite corners of the tank facing each other which causes the flow to mix and prevents sand blowing all over creation. I have them attached to my reef controller (I created a tutorial on how to make the connection http://youtu.be/pU34IvmpgaU ) and run them in anti sync at 60% speed

I recently purchased 1 wp25 and 1 wp40 for my 150g and they have been running in my tank for 2 days now. Before these pumps I had 1 MP60 running in there. I am absolutely blown away with how great these pumps are. Here is my review:

Packaging was great. Everything was very secure inside with no noticeable damage. All of the inside instructions and paperwork are written in english.
Set up was extremely easy. Just connecting a few plugs together and placing the pump inside the tank. Took no more than 5 minutes to install both pumps and place them inside the tank.
The actual structure/material of the pumps are very well put together and overall good quality (especially for the price they are listed for).
These pumps are extremely quite; if not silent. Compared to my MP, I am blown away with the difference in noise level. I can only hear them running if I place my ear right next to the glass.
The wp25 is significantly smaller than the wp40. However, I believe I could have done just fine with 2 wp25 in my tank or even 1 wp40 since these pumps are on steroids! The power these pumps produce is unreal. I currently have these pumps running on 75% output strength and on the lowest wave frequency setting and my tank still has a 2'' wake on top.

Overall, I am very pleased with these pumps and highly recommend them.

I can't tell you how many posty I've seen like this compared to negative posts. The pumps will quite down even more and you may some drop in speed, but if you take them out and clean them well they will go back to new.

I had 2 WP-25's on my 120 long. It was enough, but I am starting in SPS slowly and I like having the extra flow. So I have 2 WP40's, but I have then set to only ramp up to 80% as any more is too much for the LPS I have in there right now.

Got my WP-25 last friday and did a functions check in my 20 gallon tall.
The bad news;
everything got blown around in the 20g (which was expected lol.)
the good news;
the pump works great and i didnt blast any water out of my aquarium :lol:

I hope I fixed my leak on my 55 (2nd leak test tomorrow or the day after, first test after my repair) so I can put this bad boy to use

Just added two of these to my sump last night to help with the turbulence of the water.

I just love them, they are super quiet and small.

Nice compliment to the 2 WP60s and 4 WP40s I'm running in the display :)

Also swapped out my QuietOne returns for two Jebao DC9000 pumps.

One thing, I had a controller and power supply burn out on my WP60. Ended up using electrical tape around where the power plugs into the controller. I think that is somewhat of a design flaw... too easy for moisture to get in there...

I'm starting a 6' x 2' tank that will be softies to start and may add some LPS down the road, my question would is, should I go with 2 wp25's or 2 wp40's? It seems like these pumps are pretty strong and I don't want to overkill the amount of flow if I don't plan on having any SPS

WP40s ;)

IMO I'd go with the 40's and dial them down. Always better to have room to grow.

54 Corner tank...............thinking about 2 WP25 with the new twin controller.

WP10's would be too small, and WP40's would be too big.

Any thoughts?

This was discussed many pages back, or at least mentioned (in one of the WP threads at least) I just got mine (wp-10) and after an over night soak in diluted vinagar water to clean it off good, I noticed that yellow cast to the water that others have mentioned.

Looking closer I think it is coming from the power cord as the part that was emersed in the water went from glossy black to a dull dark grey.

Definately worth giving them a good soaking, and doesn't hurt to put in some fresh carbon in the filters when adding to the tank.

Otherwise I love these pumps and now wish I had gotten the WP-25 as I'm not using wave mode and on Else it could be a lot stronger in my 55gallon

Anyone know how to get the twins controller out of night mode? I was cycling through the modes last night and now it's stuck in night mode.

Mine did the same thing last night. I actually had to shine a flashlight on it and hold down the button just to get it out. I don't use night mode anyways, but still...
