Jebao WP25 Information

Got my RA ordered (sadly on backorder) and waiting on 2 of these pumps to become available. So excited to have both included in my setup. A little scared about how to get the controller setup. Hopefully I'll figure out out

I just messaged a friend who is teaching English in that province and she told me she is about an hour from the factory, I wonder if they would sell a few locally cheaper and she would just ship them over for me or bring them back since she is coming home in a month.

gotta send some emails

I just stumbled across fantastic reef has them for preorder for $99 are they out of there right mind ! That's a tremendous hike up in price. I rather get it from fish street.

I ordered my RA+ Monday. Wasn't told they were on back order., but I haven't gotten any shipping info yet either.
I have to check on it.

They are charging $99 for it plus 9.99 FedEx shipping.
This is still more then you would pay for the WP40 from Fish-Street.
I think it is mis-labeled, I actually think it is for the WP40.

They are also selling the WP40 for $99

Why would you pay the same amount for the WP25 as you would for the WP40 form them?

They are doing a pre-order, but I don't see how they can price it at the same price they are charging for the WP40.

They say
Estimated arrival for these pumps and us to receive them is approximatley 5-14-13.
, which falls inline with what Wnystan told me yesterday. They are testing and it will be about 2 more weeks.

Don't worry, the Reef Angel community is really helpful. Use the RA forums and people will help you out.

I hope so, because I know nothing about coding. I'm not afraid to learn, but I'm dieing to get this thing up and running.

There is an included wizard which will guide you through initial programming. A lot of the advanced stuff is cut-and-paste code from the forum. As stated before, the forums (and the owner) are great.

The willingness of their forum is what convinced me to buy one, even though I could have built my own for much cheaper. I really like how he makes all of the Eagle files available for his modules/expansions.

chapboogie I'm in the same boat as you.
I know nothing to little about coding.
I know a little web coding (HTML), but it's been years.
I can pretty much look at someone else's code and figure out what to change.
I'm a little scared too, but I've been on the Reef Angel forum and they are very helpful so I know I'll get through it.

We'll learn together (Ha Ha).

Like I mentioned in my previous post, the wholesale price difference between the wp40 and wp25 is minimal (about $5). Do you think FS or any of the other companies are going to short themselves a profit on the wp25 because you feel you should pay less for a smaller pump? The wp25 stands to do far more sales than the wp40, so the demand is certainly there.

No offense, but HTML isn't a coding language, it's a markup language. Much like XML. Coding a duino is a little different. I know software, but even I've had a problem adjusting to the electrical side of things. Lots of data types and handling of said data types, like bits, which I don't fully understand. I'm used to booleans, integers, strings, and arrays. Then again, I still find it fairly easy with all the resources here and on other forums. Thank goodness for the Internet.

They already said it would be about $30, before shipping of course, why do you think it will be a lot more?

An iPad costs Apple about $325. Can you go buy a new iPad for $325? They're made in China too :)
There are inventory, customs, shipping, and retail fees between you and that iPad or jebao pump. Unless you and a couple hundred of your closest friends can work together to get a shipment from Jebao directly, you will pay more than $32+shipping. And unless all those friends live within driving distance, they will have to pay $32+shipping+shipping again. And who wants to spend their time shipping a couple hundred pumps and not be compensated for it, even if it is for "friends"? You see how this quickly adds up?

That analogy is irrelevant. If the manufacturer, Apple, was making them in China and selling them to distributors who had them marked at $325, you most certainly could get them for that price. That's not how Apple does it, they make them there and bring them over and distribute them through retailers here at whatever price point they set. What you're overlooking is Fish Street, the distributor in China, has said the price point to be around $30. So no, I don't see how that adds up quickly in this case.

I've already talked to Jebao about the WP40 and I can get them to my door at $50/unit if I order the minimum quantity.

You are correct, you could get the wp25 to your door for $45, if you order the minimum quantity. Is it worth it to you to order the minimum quantity and hassle with selling the rest, or just pay the extra $30 for one? I was told the minimum order was 100, but like everything else from Jebao, it may depend on who you talk to.
