They are basically counting on no one calling their bluff. Even Jebao isn't really effected enough to call Tunze on it. To Tunze this is probably simply the course of action they feel they need to make. Tunze possibly feels that they must act in order to show that they won't quietly sit back and allow this type of thing to happen. As long as no one stands up and proves that there is nothing they can do to stop it, they are fine. This whole thing can backfire on Tunze as some US distributors may just forgo being a Tunze distributor and instead selling Jebao! At least they won't be price controlled by Tunze.
they may assume that, but it is not true.
I bought a wp40 and would not have spent the money for a tunze, because i just don't have it and i'm sure some of these people buying 2-4 pumps for their tanks would not have spent whatever 2-4 tunze's would set them back, they would do with 1, maybe 2.
New controller with speed built in:

Interesting. I what under the impression that is was going to be a knob to control the speed.
Maybe they couldn't get that working correctly so they went for three distinct speeds, that would explain the delay in the release of it too.
By the way they are grouped you have your sensor light that tells you if you are in night node or night the you have your modes H1, H2, H3, ws1, W2, W3 and Else, you have your Feed and Lock modes and finally you have you 3 speeds that can work with each of the different modes.
What is the purpose of having H1,H2, and H3 if they can't be used in conjunction with w1, w2, w3, and else mode? Isn't that just turning the pump into an ordinary powerhead with no fluctuating flow?
