Jebao WP25 Information

So got my led dimmer today and was wondering how much percent is the pump running at right before the sensor light blinks ?

And another question would useing controller would be able to take down lower ?

I think since jeabo has such a demand needs to make a smaller less powerful pump more wide flow for those 30-60gal

I'm happy with the pumps but a tad to strong for my 65 mixed reef my LPS and sand = sand storm . would been fine bare bottom and sps only

where can i get a dimmer from ? radio shack?

Using a dimmer before the controller (like the one you have) you should not take it below 50%.

I'm using a 3rd party controller (a Reef Angel) and I can take mine down to 20% before it shuts down.

This is what I got.... Sacohen....recommended......Not sure why the pic didn't show, but look below.

12V 5A Dimmer Adjustable Control for Single Color 3528 5050 LED Strip Light

Thanks for the info that's what I was trying to figure out did not seem like the dimmer Works Effectively in else mode flashes when it gets to low on some of the cycles. So its not 50% all the time just because it cycle thru all the programs so you have to have it set higher.

I bought a dimmer sure it helps a bit on else mode but don't need it other pump set W1 since we could select from 100,75,50 %

On the WP25 a manual pwm dimmer can be used even if you don't have a reef controller right? I want to stick one in a 14g nano but don't want to destroy everything with the flow.

I like my WP25 but I can't set it past the lowest H setting without stirring up a bunch of dust. I didn't wash my sand so I'm guessing that's the problem. Should I just set it on a high setting and let the skimmer pull stuff out?

Add another power head just a regular one right across the Wp25. Just hydor ect or get another 25 and set it across.

Would still be to much for a 15 gal I would say wait for them to make a smaller one or get a tunze nano stream.

Even with a PWM dimmer you are still affecting the voltage going to the controller and not to the pump.
The preferred method would be to adjust the voltage going to the pump on the control line.

The LED and PWM dimmer are 2 different way to accomplish the same thing, reduce the voltage going to the controller.

This does slow the pump down, but not as much as if you adjust the speed on the control line.

About 50% maximum using either LED or PWM or 20% slowing it down on the control line.

Thanks I will try this, hopefully it helps. I also just ordered one of those cheap dimmers with a dial for $3.50 on ebay. With this dimmer I can lower than speed no more than 50%, is that right?

Eric emailed me tonight. He asked for a video of what it is doing. I posted a video on YouTube and he is going to send another controller to me free of charge.

Can't really ask for more than that. He did say I would be next week as they are out of those controllers currently.

I have an extra MP40 driver from one of my Vortech's. I wonder if it would be possible to control a WP40 with it? I suck at electronics though...

Received my new replacement controller today, works perfectly.

I am impressed with the customer service at Fish Street.

Seems like when people where saying cheep equals crappy customers Service.
Just proves some of those die hard EcoTech fans just because some company knows there is very minimal Competition choose to charge you an arm and a leg for a hobby. Im aware of a couple kids that are in the hobby and can't just pay for an expensive wave maker its so expensive I help out these kids by giving them frags and giving them the best advice I could or I research It my self and send them the links.

Pump is quite, flow is good for what your paying for.
Anyone on a budget or just getting into the hobby that really can't pay premium prices high end products.

I would rather have jeabo than a hydor IMO as a beginner.

I should get the camera instead of the iPhone and make a video 2 wp-25 one set on else and right across one set on w1,s2 moves water like crazy plenty of water moment uptop and down low.
My sps are loving it and coming back after being stuck with lack of flow cuz I could not see my self paying for 2 mP10.

This is just my opinion and think this pump will last quite long since even since the wp40 came out very minimal issues just mostly controllers that I have spotted.

You are right about budgets and over priced pumps (and lights). But let me add one point. FishStreet is doing a good job of providing customer support, not Jebao. I know somebody who bought 100 WP40's direct from Jebao and was told not to expect any warranty help or customer support. So it's great that FS can do what they are doing, and maybe with some help from Jebao (but I doubt it), and it's a shame Jebao are being... :blown: And even FS is only doing warranty for pumps you can prove you bought from them, or willing to sell you extra parts. That's good, but not for everybody. And I'm not knocking the pumps at all. I've had a WP40 running for 4+ months now and have bought Wp25's for me and for friends. I'm just saying Jebao is far from a good corporate citizen. This is still a buyer beware kind of purchase. I'm willing to take that gamble, but you could get burned... there is a risk.

People in U.S. have different expectation of warranty and customer service from a manufacturer than those from the Far East where retailers and distributors provide warranty and customer service. Very rare do you see customers there contact a factory for replacement parts or repair. This is just the business model we have to accept if we were to buy products from there unless the products are specifically geared for the US market.

I agree with the gamble and the product has not passed the test of time.
But like the saying Time Will Tell.

Should I be able to see the "difference" in Else mode? When I use Else mode I don't detect any significant difference in output as it runs. I understand that it is supposed to power up and down randomly to recreate a reef-like current. I don't see it.

It depends where you have your pump set . Just put your hand in the tank and feel if its changing.
That's the best way to see if it works
