Jerry's 300 Gallon Deep DimensionS RR Tank Build.

Having some issues with growth of my Zoas and a few other LPS Corals. Had the tank on cruise control over the summer. Now digging back in, going to straighten out a few things, plumbing, water flow, water quality then drill down from there. Hammer corals, Flower pot and a few others doing well. Zoas, simply barely getting by.

on page 2 Mustang mentioned the following for his T5 bulb config.,

4x ATI 39w coral plus, 4x ATI 39W Blue

(Ty Rob)

Just ordered the 39W - 36” T5 ATI Aquablue Special bulbs. Going to swap out with my Coral Plus lights due to the positive reviews. See if the tank likes them better. Also turned off all of my Radions for now to let things calm down. Had 3 of the 5 on at 35%.

Nuked my tank

Nuked my tank

Years and years of not quarantining fish and it has finally caught up with me. Serious case of Ich. Lost a lot of fish and some coral.

Removed all the fish and live rock, placed them into two separate tanks treated livestock and reef dipped all the coral. After months of healing, I am back up and running.

Reached out to a LFS, Fish Finatics in Syracuse, and had them move everything back over. They re-structured and organized my 300DD tank. They did a great job. In just over a week I have already seen growth that I had not experienced in the past.

Moving forward"¦ J. Quarantine :D

Glad to hear everything is recovering. I hope you'll post some pics to show us the new set-up.

Everyone is healthy!

So far no, I do have a mix of food that I feed them. Kind of a custom mix
Hikari Marine-S along with Hikari Seaweed Extreme small pellets. I take of of each bag of food and mix it in one container.I feed them this once in the morning.
Then in the evening I give them the Ocean Nutrition Marine Green Seaweed on a Vegi Clip. And about twice a week I will rotate out the Marine-S mix with the frozen Spirulina cubes. They love that stuff!!

It's usually not until they are full adults that angels start to sample everything in the tank and get truly destructive.

At that point I will have to kick them out of the house and send them off to college. Or should I say someones larger tank:wavehand:

What do you think they did that helped spur growth like that?

Enjoyed following along with your build.

I had an Emperor in my SPS dominate tank and it ate zoas, nipped at clams, but left everything else alone.
