And this morning I have been working on the light rack. All built in pine to match the stand. This is the same design I used on my 90g except longer obviously.

That's all for now. I should have the rack finished tonight and ready for staining. Thanks for looking.

I would open it up a bit. If you marked along the front into eight equal lengths from left to right, I would open it up at 2, 4 and 7. You don't have to have everything piled along the back wall. You could come forward into the tank with some height, too.

Little more progress. I completed the plumbing this weekend and it's begging for water so I think I will be getting that going through the week. I also have a few pieces of shelf rock that should be in by Wednesday so I may add that to the scape as well, not sure yet. I am also waiting on a 15ft Aquabus cable to arrive so I can hook up the apex outlet and get this ready for power. Hopefully it's long enough. That's about it for now. Here's a few parting shots of the current scape with sand.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have a few pieces of shelf rock on the way so that will be used to add a little height to the middle of the tank as well. I have always liked the rock wall scapes though I know they are not the norm these days. With this I tried to bring the scape a little more forward with the 3 areas where the rock work extends out from the back. But one thing I missed having in my 90g was open areas up front for low light corals. So I def want to leave those areas alone. We'll see how this shelf I'm getting works out though.

We are filled and I'm slowly combining the water each day. I have been turning the pump on for about a min or two to circulate it into the main system. All looks good except that the power heads are moving some sand around as you can see. No sandstorms just some drifting that I expect to stop once the sand is weighed down with bacteria.

For flow I have a mp-40 on each side and 2 WP-25's on that back wall under the cross braces facing towards the middle/front glass. Those I have turned down very low thought. In a few weeks I should be able to fire the flow up more on them.

I expect I should have this running by Thursday and then it's stocking time. Here is a couple of quick pics with just blues and just whites. Enjoy

Nice build.

Side note, and off topic. Who in the house has the super powers?

Page one I noticed the Nursing mag.

Did a little work in the basement today.
Hard plumbed in the salt mix tank and also made space for the newly acquired frag tank. And also built a PVC light stand for the frag tank as well. Still waiting for new bulkheads to come in so I didn't get a chance to drill yet. Hopefully this weekend.
