Jim's 180 build

I run a tradewinds 1/4hp. I had it on my 90 as I knew I was going to upgrade. The inwall was going to be around 150 gallons, so I might be pushing it. I like the 5 year warranty and the fact they are made in the states.

When you wer over the other day, you said your pump was louder. That sounds like anm excuse to get a new pump. I know a couple dart and snappers that are for sale in town. My advice is to do it now when your system is dry. You can always plumb it and plug it up until that day comes. Don't forget that you are going to add more lights as supplements.

Did you even notice mine next to my stand? Once I had it there for a month and the tank was prospering, it was just something to put the dogs toys on. Amanda even stopped complaining ;)

I'll take a lookie :)

Yeah, the pump (well, the fan really) is louder than the sequence for sure. But I don't want to add any more flow through the sump. I have it just the way I like it. Nice and slow. Also if I upgrade to a sequence, I will have to re-drill my sump for the larger intake (which cannot be done due to the location of the hole). This would mean a new sump too.

Yeah, your chiller is very hidden though. Trust me, when you come by and see my set up, the only way to not notice the chiller is to build an enclosure, which I plan to do anyways :)

Mike, sorry bro! You're gonna have to use your imagination for 2 more weeks!

Everytime I try to use my imagination, beautiful women end up being involved.

what about a hot chick wiping down your fish tank?? ;)

I'll take two please ;)

That would be better than great!

After I get this tank up and running I've been thinking about building my own ping-pong table :D

Summer time tourney's at my place!!!! Hot chicks in thongs wiping down fish tanks and all the table tennis you can play.... that is, if you can beat me ;)

I picked up some LR tonight from a local. He had some large pieces at a great price, so I grabbed 60lbs.

I have a bunch more in my display, probably around 180lbs. I'll be able to weed through it and hopefully get some nice shapes for the display :)

Well, hopefully the tank is here on around the 15th.

Not much longer :D

Just be patient (thats what I keep telling myself) ;)

It's impossible to be patient. When I ordered my tank I had couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned dying for the call that it was shipping. The night before it arrived I slept an hour tops.

Then again, I'm sick in the head when it comes to this hobby.

I think we are ALL sick in the head :D

The guy I bought the LR from use to run an sps tank a couple years back and has been slowly taking it down for the past couple of months.

He was convinced that this hobby is worse than any drug out there, and the cravings to go bigger and better never end. He then said that he doesn't ever plan on going back for this reason.

I know that I'm sick because the whole time I'm sitting there listing to what he said, agreeing with what he said, yet combing through all he FS reef stuff searching for more stuff that I need

I completely agree with that guy.

I promised my wife the cube would be the last tank I bought until we moved in a few years. Then the other day I stumbled across the braceless tank thread.... now I'm dying a braceless tank.

sick I tell you... sick!
