Sexy, I didn't think you'd go with the BK. I feel ATB pulsing through your blood. But just in case I'm wrong, Victor follows me to every thread to slap people into reality, when I steer them towards BK. :lol:

Both are great skimmers. BK has had the opportunity to build one heck of a reputation here on RC. The RD pumps are sick!

However, I have no doubt that Victor will come through with the goods :D

I just hope the externals are on the market soon!

Either way, I'm upgrading from my current skimmer (which has served me very well) ;)
 
haha!!! hey Victor, that's why he changed his handle from JimDogg to Jim_S!!! All the honies call him Sexy ;)
 
Well, I don't mind switching for some new design features like a new pump, bubble plate, conical shape... But for me to switch over to a Deltec or H&S I feel that I would be trading my skimmer for a very similar designed skimmer which would probably perform very close to the same.

ATB and BK offer more, so thats why I'm looking :D

RE: Parallel vs. Perpendicular on the LAminis. It made no difference on my tank.

I'm expecting the tank to arrive sometime around the 15th of this month (I ordered it on the 14th of last month and was told it would take 4-5 weeks). I know its already been built, but sitting down in LA waiting for John for Your Reef to pick it up :D

Yeah, I figured it would be right around the same with the LA mini's.

I'm just a NAZI for looks. I want it to look clean, and the off-centered look the other position would have given me would have been unacceptable :)

Actually, my older brother is the one who made off with the good looks :) I just run around and try to pick up his scraps....

I don't think the smell coming from protein skimmer would help my game at all... But then again, I've already met the woman I plan to spend the rest of my life with, so hopefully she can learn to live with it :lol:

Oh yeah, I decided that I will try out some gas springs on the canopy and see how it goes. Probably get to it next weekend though. That, and add some more fans that I have on order.
