I agree. I tried the 400w SE on my Galaxy ballasts and was disgusted how they made my tank look.

14k Hammy's are nice bulbs. What ballast will you be running them on?

I was so close to ordering the Helio 20K. but couldn't pull the trigger. Just love the Radium. I will try the Helio next though.
I saw Jims tank with the Hammy 14K it was nice, I didn't think it was too blue, They have low par though

Should I go with a Geo 624 or 818? I was going to try the Octopus or the AquaC, but I'm going with a Geo since he switched to thumbscrews for the lid.
He used to use nylon screws and nuts. GARBAGE!!!

Im not TOO worried about par right now. For the next 8-10 months I wont be getting many SPS anyhow. I dont want to stock up before I gotta move, and lose some of em during the mentioned move. I also gotta save up for a stupid wedding lol.
As for the PFO ballast, I am not sure which one, it is this one though:

I just realized that I spent the extra csh to have my lumenarcs come with PFO terminals, but I Didnt pay for the PFO terminals on my ballast LOL

If your not worried about Par just try out the Hammy 14K.
Unless you are willing to change them in for Helio 20K. I want to see some Reviews on those in 250W SE!
But, they will be blue!
When Sanjay was here in Feb he said the Helio was the bluest bulb on the market which suprised me i always thought it was XM20K

Is this going on your 240? I believe they both use the same Panworld recirc pump, so the main difference is in how much media you want to hold. Personally, since it's the same pump, i'd go 624, and use that extra 200 bucks on something else.
