I have been fascinated with angels for a long time and I think I am getting ready to make the plunge. I was thinking of getting a joculator.

What have your experiecnces been?

I have a SPS dominated tank with a couple chalices, a few favias and a few nice zoas. If it came down to it, I would lose the zoas and favias, and a little nipping is something that I am not afraid of.

Thanks

Hi~ I kept him for about 2 years and recently he is dead because he jumped out of my tank. :(

He was very good citizen in my SPS tank. and I heard that it is

a little difficult to eat dry food, but he ate everything. dry and frozen food.

He was very cute and nice

I heard from my japanese reefer it is more easy to get him in japan than other country

Many people have had success in reef tanks, including me. Doesnt touch anything.

Thats pretty much what I have heard. Maybe once and awhile, but thats about it. Do you keep zoas and favias as well?

I have had one in my reef tank for 4 years along with 2 regal and 1 majestic. The joculator has been a model citizen. Does not touch any coral.

Pardon the terrible photography.

They devoured all my zoos. However that was expected. Besides that they have never bothered any coral. I do keep them fat with large fresh water mysis..

Thats pretty much what I've heard. I guess I need to get a joc first. I have also been thinking of a multicolor as well.

I am not a fan of any of the pigmey angels. To me they don't offer enough to take the risk that you have to take to put angels in your reef..

:( You can sale me your joculator then ;)

I love my jocs & they were great in my 210 SPS tank, but once I moved them over to my 120 LPS it went down hill from there. They loved my micros/acans, they didn't touch my zoas or chalices.
I do feed them very well 3-4 times a day & they still pick. I have heard many people have them with no problems, so I must be one of the few.

Thanks Stacie. I was hoping you might catch this thread :) Please note the new name change as well
