Well after the bio use I bought used was cleaned up it had a leak and scratched bad all over and heat and was so water logged it was junk. So I stared over on a family affordable budget got a petsmart stand and 10 gallon tank. Assembled and painted the back black. Got a ac50 hob filter and a 50 watt heater and a koralia 425 nano to start off with prolly gonna use a wave point blade 9" light and possible another nano power head. Currently trying to figure a way to run just filter floss in the filter

Have to paint it black still but gonna mess with a egg crate too and a glass top. I have lil kids so I'd like something there but don't want glass to filter lift out or hold heat in to bad

Thanks a lot. Have the rest of the parts just waiting on the light. Dropping the buckets off at my bro in laws tomm to get water made up

Light showed up today and rocks are assembled and dry. Will get a full tank shot once all equipment is in. The light is really nice! I didn't have to trim a lil of the back rim tho where a lid would sit to allow it to slide over the frame. And had to shim it with a couple cut zip ties to keep it standing straight

Ahh got it I'm pretty impressed with this light so far for cost this is the attinic and whites together the light isn't mounted in the pics

Liking this, some similar equipment to my start and at the same time.

I didn't even think to cut out egg crate for the filter!

Scape looks good, was the epoxy easy? Also liked the idea of laying it out outside the tank ahead of time.

I'm excited to see your build also! I'll get some pics of the egg crate filter floss mod when it's assembled. The epoxy was real easy to seperate tubes of putty mix equal amounts and smoosh it in where ya want and stick the rocks together very very impressed. Yeah I just cut that piece of cardboard the size of the tank and it let me see what I could fit and make sure I had flow all the way around the structure

Got the glass from the glass shop and messing with setting the light on it not using the bracket. I think I like it better

Picture of the aquaclear what I did was used the media basket but I didn't install there media I zip ties a piece of egg crate in to lay filter floss on instead. I didn't wana run the filter pad or bio media and chemical and have to deal with trapped nitrates. I may add a lil rubble to the basket
