Joining the Club - 280g Starfire Custom on Order

I placed my order for a 60"x36"x30" Starfire for a new in-wall mixed reef tank...now I just have to have the patience to wait the 2 months it will take to get the tank!!!!

I'll start a build thread as the time approaches. In the meantime I'm gonna read through the threads here to learn from you guys.

Hello builderguy,

I wish you well with your new 280g.

I'm new to the hobby. Have been reading about reefkeeping a great deal since December 2009. Planning to set-up new 180 gallon reef tank.

Would you please recommend tank suppliers?

Would you recommend glass or acrylic?

Definitely go with glass, I'm getting rid of a 150g acrylic because it's just too hard to clean.

You're in Philly, so you should check out Glasscages.com. Otherwise Oceanic, Marineland Deep Dimension and AGA would be recommendation for stock tanks.
