Thats the pump that i was thinkin so hard about, Red Dragon.. I would use this if I had a chance. I have a buddy who uses it and this thing is awesome. Low power comsumption and high water output.

im not sure about having titanium shaft, but for the price of this pump. It better have something good and will last.

Well I figured they were Ti but this is what AS say on there site

WOW Jose, looks like you did a little research of this pump. :lol:
the Red Dragons come with the titanium shaft. there was a thread were some one got a pump without one and it broke.
Proline was very fast and helpful to get him the titanium shaft
it's nice that the RD's come with customer service behind the great product they already have.

Thats what I thought but couldnt remeber and heard about that situation. Glad they took care of it. Thats what I wanted to hear.

Oh sorry,
.I meant why will you not be running your Wave Box? Because its rimless? Have you had success replicating similar waves with just the Vortechs?
I'm asking because I take delivery on my rimless tank this week, and I've been contemplating running a wave box or Vortechs or both.

The reason Iam not using the wavebox even though I will 2.5'-3'' water level clearance is the flow all depends on the aqua scaping and Iam going with very little and wide open look so I feel that the vortecs will be enough and when tuned well can get similiar effect like the wavebox.
