Wow Jose, should be one sweet tank!

just curious, how thick is the glass? 1"?
Thanks John your tank looks very good and love the rimless look for sure.. The glass will be 3/4'' with pvc bottom AGE style.:)

Awesome dude

although is the spectra enough coverage front-to-back?!? 42" is alot of ground! :D

But with your minimalist style you'll pull it off I'm sure ;)

Thanks Mark, I think the spectra will be fine as Gregg has it in his 30'' and has it suspened 10''-12'' and says will dif do 42'' and my other friend Ken Dingdong has a 48'' 2 250w in a 30'' deep about 12'' from the waterline and can see it will be plenty esp if I raise it more and run the 400w. Yea plan to have less light for the lps but the plans is to make the aqua scape semi low and wide open so the corals have room to grow and put the lps low light corals underneath them. I feel it will work but we ill have to see.:)

This is the drawing that was sumitted to AGE. What do you guys /gals think?

Jose are you going with a coast to coast overlfow? I'm curious as to why the holes are drilled in the back panel of the tank (and not in the PVC bottom)?

Those dimensions are awesome!

Going with a pre-filter type overflow that will be 20''x6''hx3'' with cover and will have three different made to controll and change waterlevel to what ever I want.

Also the last hole on the right will be plumb directly to my skimmmer gravity fed.

Might want to look into putting sch 80 bulkheads on those holes if you can. Better safe then sorry.
Sch 80 is more heavy duty but have used the sch 40 with no promblems also. The reason for the sch 40 is that are shorter and will work with the dim or width of the pre filter. Aslo like I said simple is one of the main goals and if I would to have a promlem I would drain the tank 1''-2'' and fix it ''no problem easy fix''.:)

Hey Jose, here's a good question. For your rockwork, will you be using Tonga branch like in your current tank or will you do drilled pillars OR just individual islands? I know you mentioned you want a more "open" look with free swimming space for your tank inhabitants.

By the way, at this rate I think we're going to give you your first thread split BEFORE you even get your tank...

For this tank I want the open look with two levels. I will have three Islands as I have been collecting huge lr for that reason.

I hope so as this will distract me from thinking how long I have to wait LOL!!!:D

Yeah, some large islands will look great with all those nice sps colonies you plan to put in there..

And what are your plans on fish? Any fish list as of yet? Are you planning on keeping the Yellow Belly Blue Tang? I'm starting to feel mine is outgrowing my tank as it paces back and forth from time to time. But he is fun to watch when he picks up shells with his mouth and takes them to the top of the tank and then lets them drop. All the fish swim real fast to check it out thinking its food and then are disappointed when they see it's only a shell. I know he does it on purpose to get a good
