We notice that the colors of corals in the tank ... it's more "vibrant" ... more colorful ...
We changed nothing ... we do not add anything (no zeo, no iodine, no trace elements) ... We use instant ocean salt .... we have a calcium reactor (knop KORALlith), we stopped the kalkawaser reactor for the past few weeks (PH and KH remains good) ...

Is this because the bio-pellets reactor? maybe .. maybe not ...

an example of more detail and vibrant color ... the brain:

Very nice tank! I had the exact same tank and the same lighting fixture as you, the light fixture had PC's, so it was an older model. Here is a link to my 180 gallon diary.
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1614721&page=14

BTW, the tank cracked 10 months ago and the tank was set up for like 9-10 months or so, it cracked right on the curved corner. lol Just thought I'd warn you about those curved corners....

the lightning fixture was a 6' that we cut 5' and replace the PCs with T5s. ;)

This current tank we bought NEW after the previous one crack... it was a 140g 5' that we bought USED crack at 7pm december 23th... :(
I"m not sure your tank was the same.. you say 180g... mine is 150g with built in corner overflows... it's a Jebo.
I really sympathize with you... have leaved a crack tank exprience I dont wish this to anyone. I still have difficulties sleeping when I start thinking too much about the aquarium ;)

Ah, okay.

My 180 gallon was also new. lol What are the dimensions of your tank?

2 months since the skimmer is in action!

We really think it's working great! I think this old technology is quit "soft" on the water... compare to using a needle wheel or other pomp that are hard on water...

our hait algae problems seems to end, the algae is dying and disolving!

The polyps extension is amazing!
