Josh's BTA and Percula Tank

Hello!

I have been in the reef keeping hobby for several years now and have kept about everything in the normal reef tank. While my dream tank is still a few years out, I have had to "settle" down with a 20L equipped with a 4 bulb T5 fixture. I will soon be adding a sump that will house my skimmer.

The tank currently houses two BTA, one that appears to be a RBTA and the other is of lighter pink color with green around the mouth (I was told that it was a watermelon). The nems are hosted by a pair of perculas, one onyx and a regular percula. They have not mated yet but are showing some good signs of bonding, especially after the last anemone was added.

Here are a couple pictures. I did not photograph the entire tank as the right hand side is just sand bed with a few chalices and zoas. I'm either going to be removing these or get a small rock to place them on.

RBTAs are one of my top two nems. That is a gorgeous one and icing on the cake with nice looking clowns.

This is very similar to the tank I want to start. My background is similar to yours and Ive always dreamed of a tank with all nems and clowns.

Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the comments! These guys might be taking a trip down to a smaller tank that I have been preparing. I want to see if placing them in slightly tighter quarters will help them to bond. They have been together for about 5 months and still sleep and spend a decent amount of time apart. Part of the reason that they are together in the picture is that they sense feeding time :bounce3:

Lovely tank and animals. If you don't have Joyce Wilkerson's clownfish book, you might want to look for a copy--lots of advice on breeding and rearing clowns. Martin Moe also has a breeders' handbook.

I have seen that book mentioned several times. I should probably go ahead and pick it up ;)
