Thanks for the link. whats the difference between the ones you have and the new LB wide minis ?

I am not too sure of the specs yet but they are supposed to produce a larger spread than the reg LB minis.

Nice rock work!!

Thanks. A month or so ago I actually chopped down the left pillar to allow for more upward growth and for another Vortech. I will have to get some updated pics.

Wow. I think this is the first "Blue Background Tank" that looks very nice. Very nice growth btw.

Thank you for the compliments. I was very and I mean very close to painting the background black but very glad I didn't. The Blue background just seams to add more depth to the tank.

Here are some new pics taken tonight. I thought I would take some shots before my way overdue water change.

Wow that tank looks better every time i look at it. I know someone asked you about the lumenbright mini wides and i was wondering what your spread was on the regular mini's. I can't decide whether to go t-5's or basically your same setup on a 280g 36" wide. Thanks

Thanks, I have been neglecting it lately. I couldn't believe how clear the water looked a couple hours after I did the water change. The Lumen Bright minis at 16 inches has a good 24"x24" spread and a light skirt of about 30" to 36" round. I have always been a fan of MHs because of the simple singe replacement of bulbs, the way the penetrate the water surface, shimmer effect and now with the LBs your able to get them away from the water (less heat transfer).

Great growth on the tank. It looks like it is on auto pilot :)

Thanks Mark, I was just complaining to my wife about how disappointed I am of my growth lately.

Isn't that just because we are never satisfied in this hobby; and if we are, it usually means that we are half way out.

Its ok, I was telling my wife that I wanted some new corals the same day I was telling my friends I was out of real estate :D

Woow, very nice corals... The pink Millepora is very beautiful.

Leonardo

Thanks, If your talking about the red table in the center, I think that is actually a Prostrata. I do have a pink tabling milli but it shattered when I knocked down the left pillar. So know I have a couple mini colonies.:)

That's funny you say that as it is so true.

Here are a couple side shots I took. Please excuse the cloudy water. This was prior to my 3 month absence of a water change and a week without filter socks.

Thanks, The only thing I add to my tank is fish food. All parameters stay in check with the filtration, water changes and calcium reactor.

I would be happy if i can get my tank to look as good as your neglected tank.

Would you recommend the mini wide then for a 36" wide tank?
